Celebrating my website and blog launch

I can’t believe my site has been live now for a few days! I have been working on building my business since January of this year and decided to finally take the next step and create my own site!

To help make everything feel more real and fight the *imposter syndrome*, I decided to celebrate with friends for a weekend away.

We celebrated in Cincinnati, Ohio. Trent and I love coming here because there is so much to do, amazinggg food, and the people just make you feel like you are at home.

We stayed at the super aesthetically pleasing, Kinley Hotel Cincinnati. I loved the design of this hotel as well as the cleanliness, large shower, location, and the intimate bar.

After checking in, we met up with my friends Korie, Courtney, and her boyfriend Chase. Courtney is another blogger and this was my first time meeting her! We have been internet friends for over a year now and finally got to meet in person.

We got drinks at Homemakers Bar and dinner at one of my favorite places in Over the Rhine, Losanti.

At the bar, I ordered a Southern Whiskey Sour and Trent got a gin & tonic.

>> Southern Whiskey Sour: whiskey, lemon juice, dry red wine

For dinner, we had Canadian oysters, focaccia, filet mignon, truffle pasta, and butter cake for dessert. We seriously indulged haha. Afterwards, we had some champagne that my friend Korie brought!

I had considered at one point cancelling my celebration because I felt weird going all out and making a big deal out of my launch.

Butttt, I am so happy that I decided to go ahead and make a big deal because it is exactly that, A BIG DEAL. I think as a society (and millennials) we don’t give ourselves enough credit when we work hard and it is a habit I am trying to break.

A goal for myself moving forward is to not be so hard on myself and let myself enjoy my wins! I encourage you to do the same :)
